Coleman Rental and Supply

Alvin J. Coleman and Son, Inc.’s sister company, Coleman Rental and Supply, carries all sorts of construction rental equipment, power tools, and accessories needed to complete your construction project.  Whether you are a “weekend warrior” or have a construction company, no project is too small or large for Coleman Rental and Supply to service your needs.

Weekend Update

After a long vacation week for many, its back to the daily grind.  We are welcomed to another arctic blast this week after enjoying Sunday that almost reached above freezing!!!!!

This winter has seen well above average snow fall and below average freezing temperatures.  We are starting to see frozen and broken water mains and sewer mains.  It is important to remember if you are constructing a new home or new water or sewer installation to insulate your lines where the cover is less and 4′ deep in unplowed areas.  Water and sewer lines less than 6′ of cover in plowed areas should receive insulation.  If not you may find yourself in a ground heater scenario to dig up your lines in the winter.  Ground heating and then excavating is an option to fix your broken or frozen water or sewer mains, although hopefully avoidable if you sewer or water lines are properly insulated.

Long Winter!!!!!!

As you are all aware, this has been an extremely long winter, especially for our friends and neighbors in the Southern parts of New England.  Alvin J. Coleman and Son, Inc. is counting down the days where we can start revamping our construction services again.

Please don’t forget to shovel your roofs as any rain will make for an extremely heavy snow load!!!!
